I didn't realize how busy we've been this summer but we did a lot actually! I think this is just a tiny taste of life with older kids, and so far we're liking it :)
One big event of course was T-rex's birthday! My little boy is now 3! He's continued to improve in reading with very little teaching on my part. He also got his first tricycle, learned to hop, and is nighttime potty trained.
Gizmo is of course as goofy as ever, that kid is always smiling now that the evil reflux monster has gone. Who knew a happy tummy would cause a complete 180 in temperament! Actually, we knew all along he was happy but it was easy to forget that with just tiny glimpses between the 8 hour crying stretches. Of course now at a whole 9 months he's decided he's too cool to nurse and stopped one day....cold turkey!! My pump is on its last leg so he gets his special dairy-intolerant formula and whatever milk I have time to pump. Hopefully I can get him back to the breast but if not I think we'll live :)We had lots of fun this year, we rode an old steam engine for T-rex's birthday, we had the grandparents come visit a few times, we went to the library, we went to the pool, attended a summer concert at the church, and just hung out outside whenever it wasn't ferociously hot.
